The intercultural poetry slam; Tandem-Slam, hosted by the m2c Institute Bremen was a great event that invited refugees from different countries on stage to tell their story in verbal and musical form.
Due to my experience in making rap music and performing it on stage I have been invited to cooperate in a workshop to share this experience with all the participants and to teach about body language and emotions transmitted by voice. The workshop was followed by an event in which the participants had the chance to tell their personal story to the audience in the Liftcafe Bremen.
The workshop as well as the event itself has been very exciting for me not only because of the close contact with refugees and their stories but as well for the fact that I had the opportunity to give them a little more self-confidence in presenting themselves in public, in a foreign country while having recently experienced so many negative situations.
